My passion for animals began as a young child on my aunt and uncle’s farm in Oregon. I had big dreams of rescuing every animal in need. My professional career started in a veterinary clinic specializing in naturopathic medicine for both domestic pets and farm animals.
Over the next 10 years I worked in a handful of different veterinary hospitals from day practices to emergency/critical care and oncology. I graduated from Cortiva Institute in 2010. I received my certification for small animal massage from Northwest School of Animal Massage in 2011. I’m a level 2 reiki practitioner and I thank Rose De Dan of Wild Reiki & Shamanic Healing for this wonderful gift of reiki. I currently share my home with two dogs; Feebe a lab/staff terrier mix, Federico a 3 legged doberman/hound mix, and our two cats Vinnie and Salvatore.
My style of massage differs greatly between species, but universally I use a combination of swedish, myofascial, neuromuscular, trigger point, injury treatment, deep tissue techniques, along with relying on my intuition to create an individual treatment plan as unique as each client.
I describe my style of massage for people as therapeutic yet relaxing. I am motivated by helping my clients achieve their goal of living a life free of pain and dysfunction. I highly encourage all those who can, to incorporate massage therapy into their regular wellness routine.
Animals are more sensitive to their surroundings and touch. I have created an environment with their comfort and relaxation in mind. I encourage your pet to feel at home and I never pressure them into receiving something that scares them or produces anxiety. My touch style can differ from pet to pet and from session to session to meet their needs that day.
